Makhana Ki Kheer

Ingredients to make Makhana Ki Kheer

  • 1 cup - Makhana
  • 1/2 liter - whole fat milk
  • 2 -3 tbsp - sugar (or as per taste)
  • 2 tbsp - chopped almonds and pista
  • 1 pinch of kesar
  • elaichi powder as per taste.

How to make Makhana Ki Kheer

  1. In a pan heat 2 tsp of ghee add Makhana and roast for 2 mins .
  2. Add milk and sugar and cook till makhanas are nice and soft and kheer is thickened.
  3. Add kesar, elachi, and nuts and give a boil and serve garnished with more nuts.

My Tip:

For a sugar free option add 8 - 10 seedless dates finely chopped. Add dates at last and stir and turn off the flame.
