Ingredients to make Mutton pepper roast.

  • Mutton pieces 1 kg
  • The ingredients to cook mutton,
  • chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Crushed pepper 2 tsp
  • Garam masala 2 tsp
  • turmeric 1tsp
  • coriander powder 2 tsp
  • garlic paste 2 tsp
  • salt
  • lemon juice 1tsp
  • To fry mutton pieces,
  • Sliced onion 3
  • tomato 2 sliced
  • Crushed garlic 2 tsp
  • Green chillies 4 slit
  • Red chillies 4,cut into pieces.
  • To add to gravy,
  • pepper crushed 2 tsp
  • Garam masala 2tsp
  • coriander powder 2 tsp
  • chilli powder 2 tsp
  • oil

How to make Mutton pepper roast.

  1. 1)Heat a pressure cooker,add 2 tbsp of oil. Add crushed pepper
  2. 2)Then add mutton pieces.
  3. Stir well for 2,3 minutes.
  4. 3)Then add all ingredients,given to cook mutton.
  5. Mix well. Stirring for 2,3 min.
  6. 4)Add 1 cup of water & top with coriander leaves.
  7. Close cooker & cook with weight for 8 to 10 min.
  8. Leave, till all steam is gone .
  9. 5)Open lid & remove the mutton pieces from the gravy.leave the stock aside.
  10. 6)The ingredients for roasting the mutton.
  11. 7)Heat a pan with 3 tbsp of oil. Add crushed garlic,chopped red chillies,& green chillies.fry.
  12. 8)Add onion,curry leaves.fry for somtime. Add some mutton stock if needed.
  13. 9)Add mutton pieces,,along with tomatoes. mix well.
  14. 10)Take a small kadai,heat some oil in it,add the frying ingredients,garam masala,pepper powder,corinder & chilli powder. If it smokes,add stock water & fry well.
  15. 11)Add the fried masala to the mutton.
  16. 12)Keep on stirring,till it s thick & all pieces r well coated with masala. Adjust salt.
  17. Serve hot,with rice or any roti.

My Tip:

Mutton s cooking time will b differwnt,according to the texture of the meat. So just boil only 3/4in the begining.
