ABOUT Rajasthai delight papad-mangodi RECIPE

Papad-mangodi is traditional dish of Rajasthan and amazingly tasty. Mangodi is made of moong dal paste and dried in sunlight. Papad is also made from dal dough with some spices and dried in sunlight.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Papad 2-3
  2. mangodi 1/2 cup
  3. tomato 1 (Puree 1/2 cup )
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  5. Onion 1 chopped
  6. Kashmiri red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Cumin seeds 1tsp
  8. Oil 1/4 cup
  9. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  10. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  12. Salt according to taste
  13. Green coriander for garnish


  1. On medium flame heat oil in a vessel.
  2. Fry mangodi in it till golden in colour .
  3. Add cumin seeds when start crakle add chopped onion (or can make onion paste too) and stir it.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste and stir well till light golden in colour.
  5. Now add tomato puree in it. Mix it well.
  6. Add all masala mention in ingredients. put enough water for making gravy and cover it with lid.
  7. let be boil it. When it starts boiling then add papad. Stir it and cover it for 5-6 minutes.
  8. In last add Garamond masala and chopped coriander leaves.
