Bindi Do Pyaza

Ingredients to make Bindi Do Pyaza

  • Bindi or lady finger 15 to 20 pieces
  • onions 4
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • red chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  • mango powder 1 tsp
  • jeera [cumin seeds] 1 tsp
  • Dhania [coriander seeds] 1 tsp
  • Hing [asafoetida] 1/4 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • Green coriander few strands
  • jeera [cumin] powder 1/2 tsp
  • Dhania [coriander] powder 1/2

How to make Bindi Do Pyaza

  1. Heat oil in a kadahi
  2. Put hing ,sabut jeera and dhania in it till they splutter.
  3. Now put 2 chopped onions in it
  4. Saute till brown
  5. Now add bindi in it
  6. Put salt chilly powder and turmeric powder in it. Mix it well
  7. Don't cover bindi
  8. Saute it time to time
  9. When it's half done put mango powder in it
  10. Mix it
  11. Add rest of onions cut into lengthwise
  12. Cover bindi with lid for 5 minutes. Put Jeera and Dhania powder in it
  13. Its done. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with roti

My Tip:

If don"t have mango powder can use annardana powder. Don"t over cook it will be soggy
