Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Pabda fish 4 pieces
  2. turmeric powder 1 tsp
  3. salt to taste
  4. Red chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
  5. coriander powder 2 tsp
  6. Green chillies slit 3 to 4
  7. cauliflower florets 1/2 cup
  8. Urad dal bodi or vadi 8 to 10 fried lightly
  9. sugar 1/2 tsp
  10. ginger and cumin paste 1 tbsp
  11. Nigella seeds 1/2 tsp


  1. Wash the fish well. Apply turmeric and salt, keep aside for 10 min.
  2. Heat oil in pan. Fry the fish, cauliflower florets and badi separately and keep aside.
  3. In another pan heat oil, add nigella seed ginger and cumin paste. Fry well. Add 4 to 5 drop of water to avoid sticking.
  4. Add coriander powder,turmeric, and red chilli powder. Mix and cook.
  5. Add the badi and cauliflower and mix it well with the masala. Add salt. Cover and cook till cauliflower becomes soft.
  6. Add 1/2 cup water, mix with masala and veggies. Let it come to a boil.
  7. Add the fried fish and mix well. Cook for 5 more min.
  8. Serve hot.
