Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup cooked long grain basmati rice
  2. 1 cubed carrot
  3. 1 cubed capsicum
  4. 1 cubed deseeded tomato
  5. 1 cubed onion
  6. 1/2 cup cubed paneer
  7. 1 tblsp ginger-garlic paste
  8. 1 cup curds
  9. 1 cup coriander leaves and mint leaves
  10. 2 tblsp biryani masala
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  13. 1/2 tsp fennel ( saunf ) powder
  14. 1 tsp jeera powder
  15. 1/2 cup milk with a few strands of saffron
  16. 1 cup fried onions
  17. 3 to 4 tblsp ghee


  1. Take a tblsp of ghee and put ginger-garlic paste and onions and saute it
  2. Now put all vegetables and salt, chilli powder, fennel powder and jeera powder and mix
  3. Cover and cook on low flame till vegetables are half cooked
  4. Now add curds and paneer and cook till the gravy dries up
  5. Now take a thick bottom pan and put 2 tblsp ghee. Now put a layer of cooked rice and sprinkle biryani masala on it
  6. Now on it make a layer of the cooked vegetables and then a layer of fried onions
  7. Now again a layer of rice and a layer of mint leaves and coriander leaves
  8. Now sprinkle biryani masala and also pour the kesar milk
  9. Close the lid and cook for a minute
  10. Garnish with fried onions, coriander leaves and mint leaves
