ABOUT AMRITSARI PANEER RECIPE

A delicious and easy paneer curry, to be served with some rotis on the side.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cottage cheese/paneer - 250 gms
  2. Butter - 1 tbsp
  3. Clarified butter - 1 tbsp
  4. Finely chopped onion - 2
  5. Tomato puree - 1 cup
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  7. Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  8. Clove powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. Carom seeds - 1/4 tsp
  10. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  12. Chopped green chilly - 2 - 3
  13. Honey - 1 tsp
  14. Cream - 2 tbsp
  15. Hot spice/garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  16. Salt - to taste
  17. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and clarified butter in a pan.
  2. Add carom seeds to crackle,add onion and stir fry until golden brown.
  3. Add tomato puree,ginger garlic paste,cardamom powder,cloves powder,red chilly powder,turmeric powder and mix well.
  4. Cover it in a low flame for five mins.
  5. Add green chilly,honey,cream and hot spices powder and salt and saute for few seconds.
  6. Cottage cheese/paneer cut into cubes and add in the pan and mix well.
  7. Add half cup of water and make thick gravy.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves
