Its a combination of simple flavours with healthy version of tikki. It is a snack which provides protein, minerals, antioxidants , vitamin A, calcium, iron and pottasium. So we can called it a powerpack.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled black gram 2 cup
  2. Boiled potato 2 large
  3. Cumin seeds 1 tablespoon
  4. Ginger finely chopped 1 tablespoon
  5. Chat masala 1/2 tablespoons
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Garam masala 1/2 tablespoons
  8. Roasted cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  9. Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Green chilli 1 chopped
  11. Coriander leaves 2 tablespoons chopped
  12. Bread crumbs 1/2 cup for binding
  13. Oil for shallow frying.


  1. Put the boiled black gram into a mixture and make a fine paste. Without adding water.
  2. Now mash potatoes and mix black gram and potatoes.
  3. Add all ingredients and mix well . Make a fine dough of it.
  4. Now heat a tawa and pour two tablespoons of oil on it.
  5. Take a small amount of dough and give it the shape of tikki.
  6. Place it on hot tawa on low flame cook till it becomes crispy and golden brown.
  7. Turn the side and cook from another side. Apply some oil if needed.
  8. Cook all the tikki's in the same way.
  9. Serve hot with salad and sauce of ur choice.
  10. Or u can serve it in burger.
