Ingredients to make Black gram tikki

  • Boiled black gram 2 cup
  • Boiled potato 2 large
  • cumin seeds 1 tablespoon
  • ginger finely chopped 1 tablespoon
  • Chat masala 1/2 tablespoons
  • salt to taste
  • Garam masala 1/2 tablespoons
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chilli 1 chopped
  • coriander leaves 2 tablespoons chopped
  • Bread crumbs 1/2 cup for binding
  • oil for shallow frying.

How to make Black gram tikki

  1. Put the boiled black gram into a mixture and make a fine paste. Without adding water.
  2. Now mash potatoes and mix black gram and potatoes.
  3. Add all ingredients and mix well . Make a fine dough of it.
  4. Now heat a tawa and pour two tablespoons of oil on it.
  5. Take a small amount of dough and give it the shape of tikki.
  6. Place it on hot tawa on low flame cook till it becomes crispy and golden brown.
  7. Turn the side and cook from another side. Apply some oil if needed.
  8. Cook all the tikki's in the same way.
  9. Serve hot with salad and sauce of ur choice.
  10. Or u can serve it in burger.

My Tip:

You can add cornflour also for binding.
