ABOUT Badam barfi RECIPE

Among all the Indian sweets,barfi holds special place during festival and celebration. So here i am with one homemade barfi for special festival Diwali with delicious and delightful badam (almond) barfi. You can make this recipe at home for any occasion.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Badam(almond)1 cup
  2. Sugar 3/4 cup
  3. Water 1/2 cup
  4. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Saffron milk(soaked saffron strands in to milk for 30 minutes)2 tablespoon
  6. Ghee 2 tablespoon


  1. Soak badam in water for 7-8 hours and then peel the almond skin.
  2. Grind the almonds into a fine paste/powder.
  3. In a pan, add sugar and water,keep stirring until sugar dissolves.
  4. Once it come to boil check the consistency of sugar syrup (1 string consistency)
  5. Once sugar syrup is ready,add almond paste/powder and mix it well till it gets thick.
  6. Once mixture get started thicken,add saffron milk, cardamom powder and one tsp ghee,stir continuously till you get dough consistency and add almond mixture stop sticking the pan add 1 tbsp ghee and mix well,turn off the flame.
  7. Remove it immediately in a greasing plate,spread the mixture onto a plate with the help of steel bowl which is graced with ghee. After mixture cool down completely, freeze it for 1 hour.
  8. After one hour badam barfi is ready, cut out the barfi shapes.
  9. Badam barfi is ready to serve.

My mom makes delicious Badam Barfis. This recipe is really good.
