Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups refined flour
  2. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  3. 4 tbsp oil
  4. 30 ml water
  5. A pinch of hing
  6. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 tbsp dried pomegranate seeds ( coarsely grinded)
  9. 1 tbsp pepper corns ( coarsely grinded)
  10. 1 tbsp Corainder seeds ( coarsely grinded )
  11. 1 tbsp ajwain seeds ( coarsely grinded)
  12. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix wheat flour, maida and salt.
  2. Add all the spices, oil and water to make a semi soft dough.
  3. Divide into 8 equal portions .Flatten each portion and roll them into small discs ( puris)using rolling pin. It should be of thicker side.make slits with the help of a knife on each Besari.
  4. In a kadhai heat oil for frying on a medium flame.
  5. When hot deep fry the Besaris till they are crisp and golden brown in colour. Drain the excess oil and allow them to cool.Store in an air tight container and serve when required.
