Healthy version of dosa with siri dhanya (little millet). Helps to reduce weight, cholesterol.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/4 cup Urad dal
  2. 2 cups little millet (saame akki)
  3. salt as per taste
  4. Water to grind
  5. Oil for greasing


  1. Soak urad dal and little millet (saame akki) with enough water (separately) for 8hours.
  2. Grind the urad dal to a fine paste by adding little water. Transfer it to a bowl.
  3. Now grind the little millet (saame akki) coarsely with little water and add it to the urad dal paste bowl.
  4. Mix both the batter gently. Allow it to ferment over night or atleast 8hours.
  5. Next morning add in salt and little water (if required) to reach dosa batter consistency.
  6. Take a non stick tava. Heat it. Grease it with a drop of oil.
  7. Pour a paddle of the dosa batter and make dosa.
  8. Serve hot with chutney or tomato thokku.
