ABOUT Gaufres au Poulet RECIPE

Gaufres au poulet is the French term for waffles and chicken. Waffles is a breakfast dish originated in france. Its mostly eaten with chocolate or maple syrup. Gaufres au poulet is a savoury dish having waffles filled with chicken. A yummy dish to be eaten as breakfast by those who dont like sweet breakfasts or by those who wants a change. Gaufres au poulet is easy to prepare. The waffle batter is same as that of sweet waffles, only the filling is different. A breakfast which can be enjoyed by all.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For chicken filling
  2. chicken - 100g
  3. ginger garlic paste - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. curd - 1 tablespoon
  5. tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon
  6. Garam masala - a pinch
  7. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  8. coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  9. Curry leaves - 4 (optional)
  10. salt - to taste
  11. oil - 1 tablespoon
  12. onion - 1 medium chopped
  13. Green chilly - 1 chopped
  14. For waffles
  15. flour - 1 cup
  16. Warm Milk - 1 cup
  17. egg - 2
  18. Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  19. salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  20. sugar - 1 tablespoon
  21. butter - 4 tablespoon melted
  22. cucumber - optional

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with tomato sauce, ginger garlic paste, curd, curry leaves salt, chilly powder, corinader powder and garam masala powder.
  2. Keep for 15 minutes.
  3. Cut the chicken into small cubes.
  4. Pour oil in pan and sautee onions
  5. Add green chilly to it.
  6. Add the marinated chicken cubes and cook
  7. Set aside.
  8. To prepare waffles, mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder
  9. Whisk eggs
  10. Add milk.
  11. Add melted butter
  12. Add flour mixture while whisking constantly.
  13. Keep batter aside for 10 minutes
  14. Heat the waffle maker and brush oil on it.
  15. Pour the batter
  16. Cool for 2 minutes on either side or till golden brown
  17. Place the chicken filling between two waffles
  18. Make a sandwhich
  19. Can be eaten with sauce or salad.
