Gaufres au Poulet

Ingredients to make Gaufres au Poulet

  • For chicken filling
  • chicken - 100g
  • ginger garlic paste - 1/2 teaspoon
  • curd - 1 tablespoon
  • tomato sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - a pinch
  • Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • curry leaves - 4 (optional)
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - 1 tablespoon
  • onion - 1 medium chopped
  • green chilly - 1 chopped
  • For waffles
  • flour - 1 cup
  • Warm Milk - 1 cup
  • egg - 2
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • butter - 4 tablespoon melted
  • cucumber - optional

How to make Gaufres au Poulet

  1. Marinate chicken with tomato sauce, ginger garlic paste, curd, curry leaves salt, chilly powder, corinader powder and garam masala powder.
  2. Keep for 15 minutes.
  3. Cut the chicken into small cubes.
  4. Pour oil in pan and sautee onions
  5. Add green chilly to it.
  6. Add the marinated chicken cubes and cook
  7. Set aside.
  8. To prepare waffles, mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder
  9. Whisk eggs
  10. Add milk.
  11. Add melted butter
  12. Add flour mixture while whisking constantly.
  13. Keep batter aside for 10 minutes
  14. Heat the waffle maker and brush oil on it.
  15. Pour the batter
  16. Cool for 2 minutes on either side or till golden brown
  17. Place the chicken filling between two waffles
  18. Make a sandwhich
  19. Can be eaten with sauce or salad.

My Tip:

Best served when hot. Use room temperature egg and milk.
