ABOUT cucumber dosa. RECIPE

In Mangalore almost all restaurants have this as breakfast. A simple, tasty & healthy dish. we can make this at home easily. some use rawa & grated cucumber . then there is no need to grind. but i used soaked rice . it goes well with coconut chutney.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Raw rice 2 cups
  2. chopped cucumber 2 small
  3. Grated coconut 1 cup
  4. turmeric a pinch
  5. Green chillies 3
  6. water to make batter.
  7. Salt
  8. For the chutney
  9. Coconut 1 cup
  10. Garlic 2
  11. roasted channa dal 2 tsp
  12. Red chillies 3
  13. tamarind pulp 1/2 tsp.
  14. Salt.

Instructions

  1. soak rice for 3,4 hrs.
  2. grind it with all other ingredients adding enough water to get dosa consistency batter.
  3. make dosa as usual dosa. applying oil or ghee.
  4. serve hot with coconut chutney.
  5. For Red chutney .grind all ingredients given for chutney.
