ABOUT Fiber-Rich grains Masala Vada RECIPE

This 3-grain Vada is rich in fibre. It is a very tasty dish.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Black chickpeas - 1/2 cup
  2. White chickpeas - 1/2 cup
  3. Green peas - 1/2 cup
  4. Chopped onions - 1/4 cup
  5. Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. 1 small piece of Ginger and garlic
  7. Cardamom-2
  8. Cinnamon -2 (small)
  9. Cloves - 2
  10. Some Fennel seeds
  11. Few chopped curry leaves
  12. Few chopped coriander leavs
  13. oil for deep fry
  14. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take multi grains (I used white chickpeas, black chickpeas and green peas). Soak overnight (8 hrs).
  2. Drain the water and transfer to a mixer jar. Add the spices, ginger and garlic.
  3. Add Red Chilli powder and salt. Coarsely grind it.
  4. Add chopped onions, curry leaves, coriander leaves and Asafoetida. Mix well.
  5. Heat oil and make a vada shape.
  6. Fry each vada until golden brown.
  7. Serve.
