ABOUT Rajma Hummus RECIPE

There are many health benefits of Rajma or Kidney Beans. It helps in lowering cholesterol, contains dietary fibre, is good for diabetics, contains lot of proteins and prevents hypertension. Hence it is good to include it in our daily diet. So why not in the form of Hummus? So here is an yummy and nutritious Rajma hummus which can be had as a light snack along with veggie crudites or crackers.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup boiled Rajma (Kidney beans)
  2. 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  3. 1 tsp. red chili flakes
  4. 1/2 tsp. pepper powder
  5. 2 garlic cloves
  6. salt to taste
  7. 1 tsp. roasted coriander-cumin powder
  8. juice of 1/2 lime
  9. 2 tbsp. olive oil
  10. 1 tbsp. boiled rajma to garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend together all the above mentioned ingredients (except olive oil) to a smooth paste with required quantity of water.
  2. Mix the olive oil and serve, garnished with the boiled Rajma as a dip. They can also be relished as a spread on toasted bread and parathas.
