Ingredients to make Samakya patties

  • salt acc to taste
  • 1 tspn red chilli powder.
  • chopped corriander leaves
  • Half bowl sama or samakya
  • oil
  • potato 1

How to make Samakya patties

  1. Take a bowl .
  2. Put samakya and wash it.
  3. Cut 1 potato in small cubes.
  4. Now take a pressure cooker.
  5. Add ghee in it.
  6. When it gets heated put hing and jeera.
  7. Now put samakya and double the water in it.
  8. Add salt.
  9. Cover the cooker with the lid.
  10. Give 2 whistles.
  11. Let it cool.
  12. Put green chilli, chopped corriander leaves and red chilli powder in it.
  13. Mix it .
  14. If required you can add bread crumbs also.
  15. Now make patties or tikki of it.
  16. Take flat pan or tawa and brush with oil
  17. Put the patties on it.
  18. Brush on both the sides.
  19. Flip it.
  20. When it gets brown and crispy .
  21. Serve it with ketchup and chutney.
