Banana Singhara Cake

Ingredients to make Banana Singhara Cake

  • 3/4 cup water chestnut (singhara) flour
  • 1 large ripe banana mashed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp chopped nuts ( optional)
  • salt Pinch

How to make Banana Singhara Cake

  1. Sieve all dry ingredients and keep it aside. Preheat the oven to 180, prepare cake tin
  2. beat egg lightly in a bowl. Add oil and sugar, mix well. To this add vanilla extract, nuts. Mix well
  3. Add banana and slowly add flour. Cut and fold in gently. it will be dense batter. Pour it in prepared cake tin. Bake for 25-40 minutes until done. Allow to cool for 30 minutes. Invert the cake on wire rack, now allow to cool completely.
  4. Serve AS IS or frost and serve
