Nutty Dates Barfi

Ingredients to make Nutty Dates Barfi

  • 150-180g seedless dates
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup pistachio
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 3 tbsp dessicated coconut
  • 2 tsp raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds

How to make Nutty Dates Barfi

  1. Finely chop nuts. Keep it aside
  2. If using dry dates, soak in warm water for 1-2 hours and discard water. Grind dates with raisins and cardamom. Keep it aside
  3. In a pan, melt ghee, add sesame Seeds and saute until golden. Add dessicated coconut and chopped nuts. Roast for 3 minutes. Switch off
  4. Add dates mixture and mix. When mixture is still warm, mix again everything well. Add mixture to greased dish
  5. Allow to cool completely. Cut and store in airtight container. Refrigerate and serve as required
