ABOUT Nutty Dates Barfi RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 300 g seedless dates
  2. 1/4 cup almonds
  3. 1/4 cup pistachio
  4. 1/4 cup cashews
  5. 1/4 cup Walnuts
  6. 1 tbsp ghee
  7. 3 tbsp dessicated coconut
  8. 2 tsp Raisins (optional)
  9. 1/4 tsp cardamom
  10. 1 tbsp white sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Finely chop nuts. Keep it aside
  2. If using dry dates, soak in warm water for 1-2 hours and discard water. Grind dates with raisins and cardamom. Keep it aside
  3. In a pan, melt ghee, add sesame Seeds and saute until golden. Add dessicated coconut Roast for 3 minutes.
  4. Add nuts and mix well
  5. Add dates mixture and mix. Switch off
  6. Mix well until well combined
  7. Add the mixture to greased foil and shape like log. Roll and cover with foil from all sides
  8. Allow to cool completely. Refriferate until set Cut and store in airtight container. Refrigerate and serve as required
