ABOUT Tomato fish Masala RECIPE

Fish is a rich source of protein especially Rohu fish. A delicious spicy and tangy Rohu fish masala curry made especially in winters served with freshly cooked plain rice

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rohu fish 500 gm
  2. Haldi 1/2tsp
  3. Salt 1/2 tsp
  4. For the Gravy
  5. Mustard oil 3/4cup
  6. Methi seeds 1tsp
  7. Onion paste 3 big
  8. Garlic paste 1tso
  9. Haldi powder 1tsp
  10. Gas chilli powder 2tsp
  11. Coriander powder 2tsp
  12. Jeera powder 1tsp
  13. garam masala powder 1tsp
  14. Tomato puree 3
  15. Lemon juice 2tbsp
  16. Coriander leaves chopped 2tbsp for garnishing

Instructions

  1. IN 500 KG ROHU FISH ADD 1/2 TSP SALT AND 1/2TSP HALDI POWDER
  2. MIX AND MARINATE THE FISH FOR 15 MINUTES
  3. HEAT 3/4 CUP MUSTARD OIL AND ADD FEW MARINATED FISH AND FRY ON HIGH HEAT TILL GOLDEN
  4. WHEN GOLDEN ON BOTH SIDES TAKE IT OUT
  5. ARRANGE ALL THE INGREDIENTS FOR THE CURRY
  6. IN LEFT OVER OIL ADD 1TSP METHI AND AFTER FEW MINUTES ADD 1CUP ONION PASTE
  7. ADD 1TSP HALDI AND 2 TSP DHANIA POWDER
  8. ADD 2TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  9. ADD 1CUP FRESH TOMATO PUREE
  10. ADD 1TSP GARLIC PASTE AND COOK TILL MASALA LEAVES OIL
  11. ADD 1CUP WATER
  12. ADD 1.5 TSP SALT AND 1TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER
  13. ADD 1POTATOE CUT INTO BIG CUBES
  14. COOK ON LOW HEAT TILL IT IS 3/4 DONE
  15. NOW ADD FRIED FISH
  16. ADD 2TBSP LEMON JUICE
