Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Milk 1 1/2 litres
  2. lemon juice 2 tablespoon
  3. sugar 1 1/2 cups
  4. Cocoa powder 2 tablespoon
  5. Dessicated Coconut 1/2 cup
  6. Food colours- yellow and red
  7. almonds 6 no


  1. Boil milk and add 2 tablespoon of lemon juice
  2. Drain the curdled chenna
  3. Wash in running water and keep the chenna for an hour to rest
  4. Churn the chenna in a mixer till smooth
  5. Cook 2/3 of chenna to smooth.Add 2 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 1 cup of sugar on medium heat
  6. Cook till it leaes the side of the pan.Take off from heat .
  7. Cook remaining chenna with 1/2 cup dessicated coconut and 1/2 cup sugar
  8. Add feww drops of yellow food color
  9. Cook on medium heat till laves the sides of the pan.Take off the heat
  10. Divide both sandesh mixture into 6 equal parts
  11. Color 6 soaked almonds in red and yellow food color
  12. Shape the chocolate sandesh mixture into diyas
  13. Fill with the yellow sandesh mixture and place an almond on the edge
  14. Store in the fridge in an air tight container
