Ingredients Serving: 6
Milk 1 1/2 litres
lemon juice 2 tablespoon
sugar 1 1/2 cups
Cocoa powder 2 tablespoon
Dessicated Coconut 1/2 cup
Food colours- yellow and red
almonds 6 no
Instructions
Boil milk and add 2 tablespoon of lemon juice
Drain the curdled chenna
Wash in running water and keep the chenna for an hour to rest
Churn the chenna in a mixer till smooth
Cook 2/3 of chenna to smooth.Add 2 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 1 cup of sugar on medium heat
Cook till it leaes the side of the pan.Take off from heat
.
Cook remaining chenna with 1/2 cup dessicated coconut and 1/2 cup sugar
Add feww drops of yellow food color
Cook on medium heat till laves the sides of the pan.Take off the heat
Divide both sandesh mixture into 6 equal parts
Color 6 soaked almonds in red and yellow food color
Shape the chocolate sandesh mixture into diyas
Fill with the yellow sandesh mixture and place an almond on the edge
Store in the fridge in an air tight container
