ABOUT Honey Chilly Lotus Stem RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 Medium size lotus stem (clean and wash nicely)
  2. 2 Tablespoon Cornflour
  3. Salt according to taste
  4. Oil for frying
  5. For Sweet and Hot Sauce :
  6. 1 Tablespoon Oil
  7. 1 Tablespoon chopped ginger- Garlic
  8. 1 Teaspoon deggi mirch powder
  9. 1 teaspoon Honey
  10. 1 Teaspoon Tomato sauce
  11. 1/4 Tea spoon soya sauce
  12. 1 Tablespoon roasted Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1 CUP LOTUS STEM SLICES (WASHED & DRIED) IN A BOWL. ADD 2 TBSP CORNFLOUR 1/2 TSP SALT
  2. MIX IT WELL
  3. DEEP FRY THE LOTUS STEM CHIPS IN HOT OIL.
  4. WHEN IT TURN CRISPY AND GOLDEN, TAKE THEM OUT ON KITCHEN NAPKIN
  5. FOR SWEET AND HOT SAUCE : HEAT 1 TBSP OF OIL IN A WOK
  6. ADD 1 TBSP GINGER GARLIC & LET IT BROWN
  7. ADD 1/4 CUP ONION CUBES, 1/2 CUP TRICOLOUR BELL PEPPER
  8. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 3/4 TSP DEGGI MIRCH POWDER, 1 TSP CHILLY SAUCE,
  9. 1 TSP TOMATO KETCHUP, 1/4 TSP SOYA SAUCE
  10. 1 TSP HONEY & MIX WELL
  11. ADD FRIED LOTUS STEM CHIPS & MIX WELL
  12. TRANSFER IN A SERVING PLATE
  13. SPRINKLE 1 TBSP ROASTED SESAME SEEDS
