This is a recipe of Indian bread and bhaji that is made with mashed vegetables, cooked with spice powder.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup cubed potato
  2. half cup green peas
  3. half cup cauliflower florets
  4. half cup capsicum chopped
  5. 4 spoon butter
  6. ¾ Cup finely chopped onions
  7. ¼ spoon red chilli powder
  8. salt as per taste
  9. ¼ spoon turmeric powder
  10. half cup chopped tomato
  11. to spoon pav bhaji masala
  12. one spoon ginger garlic paste
  13. ⅛ Cup lemon juice
  14. 8 pav
  15. two spoon butter for toasting pav


  1. Add cauliflower, potatoes and peas to cooker.
  2. Close the lid and cook till 2 whistles
  3. Open the lid and mash the veggies
  4. heat butter in a pan
  5. Saute onion till transparent, then add ginger garlic paste
  6. Add capsicum ,tomato and salt
  7. Fry for 4-5 minutes
  8. Add red chilli powder, turmeric and pav bhaji masala and cook for 2 minutes
  9. Add mashed veggies and mix well
  10. Add ½ cup water
  11. Mix lemon juice
  12. Boil for 2-3 minutes to thicken the bhaji
  13. Cut the pav horizontally leaving one edge intact.
  14. Roast from both sides by applying butter
  15. Serve with hot bhaji
