Rava upma is the star breakfast in the south indian kitchen.The easily digestible and fast cooking feature makes the breakfast a regular in the kitchen.Upma can be made either with onions or veg mix or just even musturd tadka,it still taste awsum.However my favourite is to eat with sugar:yum:.Do try

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1.5cup water
  2. 1cup:rava,1/2cup:cabbage,1/4cup:peas
  3. 1 onion ,1tomato,1green chilli
  4. 1tsp:mustard,chilli ginger paste,salt
  5. few curry leaves


  1. Roast rava in a dry pan for 5-7 min and set aside to cool
  2. Chop tomato and onion along with cabbage.Ground together chilli and ginger
  3. Heat and and give tadka of mustard and allow it to splutter and tgen add curry leaves.Fry for a second and add chilli ginger paste and wait for raw smell to leave
  4. Add onion and fry till translucent and add cabbage and cover cooked till it soften and then add tomato.Mix well and again cook covered for 10 min.
  5. Add rava and mix all to incorporate
  6. Meanwhile boil water and then add to above and cook covered till dine
  7. Garnish and serve hot
