Upside Down Orange Cake

Ingredients to make Upside Down Orange Cake

  • 1.5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp grated orange zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • For topping
  • 4 tbsp soft butter
  • 1/3 cup (brown+ white) sugar
  • 2 orange peeled

How to make Upside Down Orange Cake

  1. INGREDIENTS
  2. HEAT BUTTER AND SUGAR, STIR UNTIL SUGAR MELTS
  3. PREPARE CAKE MOULD
  4. POUR THE MIXTURE IN PREPARED CAKE MOULD
  5. SLICE THE ORANGE AND PLACE ON SUGAR MIXTURE
  6. FORM THE DESIGN REQUIRED FOR THE CAKE
  7. PREHEAT OVEN TO 180
  8. SIEVE DRY INGREDIENTS AND KEEP IT ASIDE
  9. IN A BOWL, MIX MELTED BUTTER AND SUGAR WELL
  10. ADD 1 EGG AT A TIME, WHISK WELL
  11. ADD VANILLA EXTRACT, MILK, ORANGE ZEST. MIX WELL
  12. SLOWLY ADD DRY INGREDIENTS, CUT AND FOLD GENTLY
  13. POUR BATTER IN CAKE PAN
  14. BAKE FOR 25-35 MINUTES UNTIL DONE
  15. ALLOW CAKE TO COOL SLIGHTLY.
  16. INVERT THE CAKE
  17. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY. CUT AND SERVE
