1) Kovalam, Kerala

Kovalam is a beautiful beach that is situated in the city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Complete with a lighthouse, the serene surroundings of this beach make it a must-visit for travelers.  You can sunbathe, ride a boat and even get a herbal massage at this beach. You can also go fishing and shopping at this stunning beach destination. Considered to be one of the best beaches in the country for surfing, Kovalam is well-known for its lighthouse. The stunning view from the lighthouse is all that you need to complete your visit to this lovely beach.

2) Paradise Beach, Pondicherry

If you love photography then Paradise beach is the place for you! The scenic beauty of this beach is definitely going to impress you with its soft sands, dazzling backwaters and stunning viewpoints. You need to catch a ferry to reach the beach and the ferry ride takes 20-30 minutes. This isolated beach in Pondicherry is sure to entertain you with its most renowned activity – fishing. You can simply take a long walk down the beach and enjoy the sunset here on the eastern coast.

3) Radhanagar Beach, Andaman

If you would like to travel a bit farther, visit the Radhanagar beach on Havelock Island in Andaman. This beach is ideal for basking, swimming and for sea bathing. Though no water sports are allowed here except swimming, the turquoise colored water and the serene nature of this beach draws tourists from all over the world. 4) Palolem, Goa

Nature-lovers will undeniably fall in love with the charming views of the Palolem beach in Goa. One can find a mix of people in the three different zones of this beach. While the southern portion is filled with people who party hard, the north zone is peaceful and undisturbed. The middle zone of the beach is for solo travelers and families. As you walk down the sand, you can find a lot of huts, fishnets, and boats strewn along the beach. You can also indulge in interesting activities such as shopping, boatin, and fishing at this beach.

5) Marina, Tamil Nadu

Situated in the city of Chennai, Marina beach is considered to be the second largest beach in the world. This beach is a great place to hang out with family and friends, amidst the locals while they go about doing their daily chores. Swimming is not allowed due to heavy turbulence on the beach. You can find an aquarium filled with freshwater species and a lot of statues of heroes. Take an early morning walk at this stunning beach and you will certainly be fascinated. Don’t forget to taste those yummy South Indian snacks while you are at the beach.
