The most troublesome part of traveling is packing your clothes and other stuff. Of course, the easiest trick would be to pack less but sometimes you want to keep some emergency outfit available, especially when you traveling to attend a function or for a vacation. But you don’t need too many luggage bags for packing all your wardrobe essentials, instead, you just need to know the right packing tricks to utilize all the space available in your suitcase.

Here are some amazing tricks to help you pack and utilize all that space that is available in your luggage.

1) Fold and Roll your Clothes

Not everyone is fond of packing as it is a very time-consuming process. Rolling your clothes saves the time needed for packing and maximizes the space available in your suitcase. Take folded items from your drawers and rather than unfolding them to re-roll them,  simply roll the folded item. Roll those clothes that don’t crease easily such as stretch knit T-shirts and denim.

2) Stuff Shoes with Resealable Bags filled with Socks

Start with the small items and stuff your socks and undergarments into a resealable bag. Put these bags in your shoes. Doing so will not only save you the hassle of searching for small clothes but will also save space in the suitcase.

3) Fill the Gaps with Small Rolls of Clothing

Fill the gaps in your luggage with small and thin pieces of clothing such as t-shirts or camisoles. These garments take very less space and hence are perfect for utilizing the gap between the rolls of large clothes.

4) Pack Jeans and Shirts on the top in Overlapping Positions

Bigger items such as jeans, trousers, and shirts should be placed above the first layer of clothing in an overlapping manner to prevent any creases from forming.

5) Pack Blazers inside out to Avoid Creasing

Packing and carrying blazers from one place to another can be a menace as these garments can get crinkled very easily and it is not really convenient to iron them every time before wearing them. But no need to scratch your head to find a solution to this problem, just turn the blazers inside out, put one sleeve into the other and fold and pack them. Packing them inside out prevents creasing.

6) Pack Toiletries in Small, Travel-size Bottles

Don’t increase your luggage weight by carrying full-size toiletries, just transfer the quantity that you would be needing during the journey into small, travel-size bottles such as the ones you get at the hotels. You can also simply buy travel-sized packs of your toiletries.

7) Use Old Contact Lenses Case for storing Safety Pins

You can even use the old contact lenses cases at your home to carry safety pins or small amounts of foundation in case you need to touch up your makeup.

8) Use Buttonholes to pack Earrings Securely

Carrying delicate jewelry and earrings while traveling is very difficult, especially when you want to travel light. Use some easy hacks like securing your earrings in big buttons to deal with this. By doing so, you can easily find them in case you need them and they won’t get lost in your carry bag. For jewelry, use a press and seal plastic wraps.

9) Go Digital on Books and Magazines

Instead of carrying loads of magazines to keep yourself entertained during your journey, go digital.  Download copies of your favorite magazines on your devices. It would not only help decrease the weight of the suitcase and save space but it will also be more convenient to select the magazine that you wish to read while traveling.
