1. Rekha Ganesan

This Bollywood beauty entered politics in the year 2012 along with the famous cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. She was nominated as a member of Rajya Sabha. She is well known for her renowned roles in many movies but she hasn’t participated in any debate during her tenure.

 

2. Jaya Bachchan

Shot to fame with her filmy career and being the spouse of the legend in Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan entered politics in the year 2004. Before joining the Rajya Sabha she had a great bond with Samajwadi Party supporting the party in the Rajya Sabha. This Guddi actress was re-elected in the year 2012.

 

3. Hema Malini

She is an ace actress who drives her audience by her natural beauty and exceptionally talented acting skills. Well known for her roles in several blockbuster movies like Sholay, Dil Ka Heera, this dream girl entered BJP in the year 1999 by supporting Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna in Punjab. In 2004, she joined officially and was seen campaigning for her party earnestly in several elections.

 

4. Kiron Kher

She is another such actress in Bollywood who is famous for movies like Devdas, Om Shanti Om, Dostana and several TV shows. Kiron Kher entered politics in 2009 into the Bharatiya Janata Party and campaigned vigorously across the country. In 2014, she won a seat defeating Pawan Bansal who was a Congress leader then.  

 

5. Shabana Azmi

She is an icon of Indian cinema and is a well known political and social activist. Shabana Azmi joined politics in the year 1997. This Masoom actress was offered a lot of roles from various political parties after she joined the Rajya Sabha but she chose to focus on empowering women.
