Wanna give your breakfast a delicious twist? Then, this egg hopper recipe is a must for you. This recipe was shared by Sanjeev Kapoor on Instagram who captioned the video as: “Presenting you, all the way from Srilanka, this breakfast recipe is a cousin of our Indian appams! Are you ‘egg-cited’ to try it out?” The best part about this dish is that it is made with the goodness of eggs. So, if you too want to try something nutritious and mouth-watering, then make sure to prepare egg hoppers for yourself.
1. Bread slices – 3
2. Soaked rice – 2 cups
3. Water
4. Scraped coconut – 1 cup
5. Cooked rice – 1 cup
6. Salt
7. Sugar – 1/s tsp
8. Baking soda – ½ tsp
9. Sesame oil
10. Egg
11. Black peppercorns
12. Chilli flakes
1. First, take bread slices and dip them in an inadequate amount of water.
2. Then, take a mixer grinder and add water and soaked rice for obtaining a fine paste.
3. Next, blend soaked bread and water in the mixture and add this paste to the rice paste.
4. Let this ferment for 8 hours and then add salt to it.
5. Next, take a frying pan and add sesame oil to it.
6. Pour the paste over this pan and later add eggs on its top.
7. Let it cook and finally sprinkle black peppercorns, chilli flakes and salt to it.
8. Finally, enjoy these delicious egg hoppers.
