Engineering is one of the most sought after professions in India. Though a lot of time, effort and hard work goes into preparing and clearing engineering exams, engineering is a very well paid profession. Today BetterButter will tell you about 7 celebrities, who were actually engineers before they became a part of the film industry.

 

1) R.Madhavan

R.Madhavan won hearts with his acting in the film ‘Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein.’ The actor is a graduate in electronic engineering from the Rajaram College in Kolhapur. Being a professional engineer, R.Madhavan performed the role of Farhan in ‘3 Idiots’ with utmost ease.

 

2) Kartik Aryan

After his film ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ made Rs.100 crores at the box office, Kartik Aryan became the newest heartthrob of the film industry. While pursuing engineering, the 28 years-old actor took an acting course, after which he landed his debut film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’.

 

3) Kriti Sanon

Kriti Sanon, who won hearts with her performance in the film ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’,  is also an engineer by profession. Kriti studied Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Jaypee Institute of Technology in Delhi.

 

4) Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput is one of the few TV actors who has made it big in Bollywood. The actor was studying Mechanical Engineering at the Delhi College of Engineering, before he dropped out of the course and chose to pursue a career in acting. Sushant even attained Rank No. 7 in the AIEEE examination.

 

5) Taapsee Pannu

The ‘Pink’ actress holds a degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology in Delhi. Before realising her passion for acting, Taapsee even worked as a software engineer.

 

6) Vicky Kaushal

Be it ‘Masaan’, ‘Raazi’, ‘Manmarziyan’ or the recently released ‘Uri’, Vicky Kaushal never fails to impress us with his acting. Vicky holds an engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology in Mumbai.

 

7) Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood, who has acted in films such as ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Happy New Year’, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering. The actor completed his engineering from the Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering in Nagpur.
