Popularly known as “Nose Job”, Rhinoplasty is a common surgery these days which is done to change the appearance of our nose, making great changes to the way our nose appears. It is an expensive medical procedure. There are a few important things to keep in mind before we decide to go under the knife. Every decision that we take has some advantages and disadvantages. We must be confident about the fact that our genuine expectations and the benefits of the surgery are comparatively greater than the potential risks associated with it.

We get fascinated when our favorite celebrity gets a Nose job and start desiring for the same. But we are not aware of the fact that in order to achieve a perfect nose, they go under the knife for about 3-4 times. Even this does not guarantee that the result in the end will be a perfect nose. These surgeries have cost many celebrities their career.

Pros of Rhinoplasty:

1. Balance:

Sometimes a nose of improper shape can be the most annoying part of our face which hinders our natural beauty. A nose having a particular appearance can imbalance the charm of a face or increase its beauty. For famous celebrities altering a feature of their face may deteriorate their social image as it is their face with which the public is familiar with. For common people like us, a large nose may not look pleasant.

2. Better nasal airflow:

Many a time due to accidents, sports or fights, the shape of our nose may get altered. Due to this, many people have issues with breathing and airflow through the nose. Turbinoplasty and septoplasty are some common procedures that are carried out along with Rhinoplasty to improve the nasal airflow and appearance of the nose.

3. Enhancement in aesthetic beauty and self-confidence:

It is a fact that when we look good, we feel confident. A proper nose job can help in boosting up our self-confidence.

Cons of Rhinoplasty :

1. Thick nasal skin: Having a thick nasal skin makes it difficult for the results of Rhinoplasty to be visible. As a result, the features may not be very sharp and prominent.

2.  Side effects: Depending on the anatomy of the patient and previous medical records, Rhinoplasty may have many side effects.

3. Risk of life: Going under the knife repeatedly to get a perfect nose can be fatal. It may even lead to many diseases.

4. Expensive: Apart from these facts, Rhinoplasty is quite expensive and as we discussed, that to get a perfect nose, one may need 3-4 surgeries. This can burn a hole in your pocket.

So we just advice to think before undergoing this process because your life is very precious and this procedure has effects that cannot be reversed.
