Sanjeev Kapoor’s Raw Banana Bhajiya And Chutney Recipe

Banana Bhajiya! Yeah, you have got us right! Bananas are not only a healthy fruit but they can be used to make delicious recipes too. It is the raw banana that is mostly used for cooking. Recently, Sanjeev Kapoor shared a banana bhajiya recipe. He interestingly captioned the video as, “Raw Bananas are not just a basic ingredient, they’re much more than that. Fry some crispy bhajiyas with it and you’ll know how special they are!” So, make the best use of raw bananas at your home and follow Sanjeev Kapoor’s banana bhajiya recipe. Banana bhajiya is a perfect snack that goes best with green chutney.

 

Ingredients Required For Making Banana Bhajiya

  • Raw banana
  • Water
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds – 1tsp
  • Gram flour – 1cup
  • Salt – according to taste
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
  • Oil
  • Coconut powder- ¼ cup
  • Green chilli – 1
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Lemon – ½
  • Coriander leaves – ¼ cup

 

Sanjeev Kapoor’s Banana Bhajiya Recipe

  • First, take some raw banana, and start peeling it.
  • Then, cut the banana into thin slices.
  • Next, wash the banana in water.
  • Then, take a frying pan and add cumin seeds and coriander seeds to it. Roast them until they give a fragrant aroma. 
  • Keep aside these roasted seeds in a bowl and then crush them into a powder.
  • Later, add gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder in a bowl and mix it with the powder of cumin and coriander seeds.
  • Then, add some water to the above mixture for the batter. Add the banana slice to the batter and deep fry them in hot oil.
  • In another bowl, mix coconut powder, green chilli, lemon juice, coriander leaves, water, and salt together. Then, grind this in a mixer to get chutney.
  • Finally, enjoy banana bhajiya along with the freshly prepared chutney.
