Dizziness is a very common symptom among men and women. Though the impact is not hazardous and is quickly curable, going dizzy frequently is an alert message given by your body that requires immediate attention. Basically, dizziness is in itself not a disorder but a symptom of other illness in your body. Due to this, you might faint and lose control. It is mainly associated with Vertigo. Vertigo is one such disorder where all of a sudden the world around you might go spinning, lacking balance thereby making you feel nauseous.

  • Have 7 to 8 hours of sleep.
  • If you suspect any medications are triggering dizziness, immediately consult your doctor.
  • Avoid sudden movements while sleeping or waking up.
  • Practice yoga to steady your mind and your body.
  • Avoid traveling or being overexposed to sun rays or heat.

 

How to Treat Dizziness at Home?

1) Ginger

Ginger is well known for boosting the blood circulation in your body and curing your dizziness within minutes. Just chew a small piece of ginger when you feel that you are losing balance or add a piece of ginger into hot tea,  while you drink it.

 

2) Concentration Exercises

Now the trick is, you are distracting your focus towards an object and concentrating on it for a few minutes when you feel like fainting. This will distract your brain’s focus and let you overcome dizziness. Just lay down flat on the surface of the floor and gaze over an object in the room or the ceiling for a few minutes whenever you feel dizzy.

 

3) Lemon

Squeeze a piece of lemon and add some honey to it by mixing it in water. Drink this when you feel dizzy. Lemon is rich in Vitamin C and it is filled with nutrients which will refresh your body and boost your immune system within minutes.

 

4) Breathing Exercises

Due to improper brain functions or due to lack of proper blood supply to your brain, you might feel dizzy. Breathing exercises help in boosting your brain’s activity by pumping the relevant amount of blood and oxygen throughout your body. Inhale slowly by counting from 1 to 5 and similarly, exhale slowly while counting from 1 to 5. This will restore your balance naturally within minutes.

 

5) Massaging

Pick an essential oil like Lavender and have a massage in the comfort of your home. At times you tend to feel dizzy mainly because of the anxiety or stress within you. When you massage with acupressure points, the stress level which lets your body relax and helps to both your body and your mind.
