As soon as we hear of the term fashion, there are certain faces that flash in our minds. These are the people whom we consider as style icons. When we talk of Bollywood, the most important aspect of Bollywood celebrities is their fashion sense. It is well known to the lovers of the film industry that the fashion of old days was way more comfortable and stylish than today’s fashion. The fashion of that time was similar to the fashion that is trending today, or we can say that the old fashion is back with a slight variation. Be it jumpsuits or palazzos, these type of clothes were worn comfortably in those days.

1) Zeenat Aman


Zeenat Aman is one of the finest actresses of the 70s and 80s. She won the title of Miss Asia Pacific in the year 1970. She is credited for bringing the western look to the Indian film industry. We have seen her wearing palazzos, skirts and other western attire which we wear today also.

Tina Munim, also known to the world as Tina Ambani is also the chairperson of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, is a very famous actress of the 80s. She signed her first film in 1976, after which she always remained in limelight for her style statement.

 

3) Dimple Kapadia


Dimple Kapadia is a well-known name in the film industry. She made her debut at the age of 16. She was launched by Raj Kapoor in the movie “Bobby”. In this movie, she played a bold teenage girl dressed in western clothes. In this movie, she wore a white polka dots top that we can wear easily in any party even today. Yellow Chiffon’s fashion was brought by her.

 

4) Parveen Babi


Parveen Babi is known as the most glamorous actress of the 80s. She worked to revolutionize the image of a heroine in the Indian film industry. She was a part of many blockbuster movies in the 70s and 80s. Parveen Babi brought the trend of the long neckline and thigh-high slit gown which are so much in fashion nowadays too.

 

5) Shabana Azmi


Shabana Azmi is a great actress along with being a renowned celebrity. She has been awarded many awards for his fantastic performance. She portrayed women in a different way in the film industry. She wore a grey metallic saree, in the movie “Arth”, which is trending even today. She also introduced the trend of wearing stylish matching jewelry.

 

6) Saira Banu


Saira Banu has given one after other hit movies from the year 1969 to 1988. In one of her movies, Saira Banu is wearing a white cherry print top during a picnic, which is perfect for the summers and is trending even today. Along with this, she also wore a band that matches her clothes, making her look more beautiful.

 

7) Rekha

Rekha is known for her versatility in the film industry. She made her debut as a child actress. She is considered as a fashion icon in Bollywood. She gave a new look to traditional clothing and made it more fashionable and trendy.
