Holy Basil (Tulsi) leaves contain whitening properties and they even protect your mouth from the problem of Pyorrhea. Put holy basil leaves in the sun to dry, once the leaves have dried, grind them and make a powder of the dry leaves. Mix this powder into your toothpaste and brush your teeth with it.
Eating a crisp apple is an involuntary act of brushing your teeth. It helps to get rid of yellow satins on the teeth. Eating one or two apples a day, can make your teeth shiny and white. Apple’s acidic properties and its fibre-rich peels are quite beneficial in cleaning teeth. Cucumbers and carrots are also very effective.
Baking soda is another food item that can help to whiten your teeth. Mix a quarter spoon of baking soda into your toothpaste and brush your teeth with it. After brushing, rinse your mouth with lukewarm water. Repeat this process once or twice a week.
When using orange peels to clean your teeth, the yellow stains deposited on the teeth can easily be removed. Rub your teeth with orange peels before sleeping. The presence of Vitamin C and Calcium in the orange peels will take care of the bacteria formation in your mouth. Repeat this process daily for 2 weeks and see the difference.
Charcoal is a great way to whiten your teeth. The crystal chemicals found in charcoal can get rid of the yellowness of your teeth. Take a small amount of charcoal powder and mix it in your toothpaste. Use this mixture to brush your teeth. Repeat this process twice a day till you get the desired results.
Use neem leaves for healthy and white teeth. Neem has astringent and antiseptic properties, which also helps to get rid of mouth odor and cavity problems. Using neem leaves as a toothpaste or chewing neem leaves can reduce the yellowing of the teeth.
The bleaching properties found in lemon help in removing yellowness from teeth. Sprinkle some salt into a few drops of lemon, mix and dip your finger into this paste. Using your fingers, brush your teeth with this paste. Leave it for a few minutes and rinse it with water. Repeat this process twice a day for two weeks.
