Do you think you can do without a Face Primer? Think Again!

If you think you don’t need a face primer, you should think again. Before you apply foundation, it is very important to prepare your face. You might have noticed your foundation melting away in the heat when you apply it directly on your face, and this happens due to not applying primer. Not using a primer before foundation, results in dry patchy skin, the makeup doesn’t last for long and one doesn’t get a smooth base to apply the foundation.

• Affordable

Cons

• If your skin is oily, you will have to touch up in 3-4 hours

3. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

This primer is extremely affordable and does an excellent job. As the name suggests it gives you baby soft skin.

Pros –

• Its lightweight and not oily
• It makes your skin soft and makes it glow
• Its affordable and hides wrinkles

Cons

• It can make your skin oily if you use it too much

4. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

This primer is great for all skin types. Its transparent in color and hides any redness, pores and makes the face smooth.

Pros –

• Its lightweight and not oily
• It makes your skin soft and makes it glow
• Glides on the skin easily
• Makes your makeup last all day

Cons –

• It’s a little expensive

5. Chanel le blanc brightening makeup base

This primer does a great job of giving a smooth base and gives an extra glow to the face.

Pros –

Cons

• It has alcohol content and isn’t suitable for dry skin type

This one comes in a travel-friendly tube and does a good job. It is lightweight and glides easily on the skin. It’s great for summers and powder foundations look great on this primer.

• Doesn’t have a burning sensation
• It’s paraben free

Cons

• It has a strong smell

7. Clinique Super Primer

The size and shape of this primer make it a travel-friendly option.

It’s a white colored product but its blends on the skin like a dream. Its filled with antioxidants that keep your skin healthy

Pros

• Great for dry skin type
• Allergy tested
• Doesn’t have a strong smell
• Moisturizes the skin well

Cons

• Not great for oily skin type as it doesn’t control the oils.
