A cheese-loaded pizza from Domino’s is usual, but pizza lovers, have you tried a pizza baked in the volcano? Volcano, yes you have heard it right! The man behind this innovative creation, David Garcia calls it a Pacaya Pizza as he bakes it in Guatemala’s Pacaya volcano.
Pacaya volcano has been erupting since February. And this man has made the best use of it with his fantastic idea. An accountant by profession, 34-year-old Garcia has made the very Pacaya crater region his workplace. So, this man who cooks pizza on volcano Pacaya has gathered huge attention. This is not only because of his daring move but also for the unique and delicious pizza that he offers.
An avid foodie must have tasted a pizza with a smoky flavour. Generally, such pizza does not come out perfectly well from a microwave oven or tawa. But, David Garcia provides all the pizza lovers with a unique experience with his tempting pizza made on molten lava.
Garcia says that he uses a metal plate so that it can withstand the high temperatures of the Pacaya volcano. This metal plate has the capability to withstand up to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. Garcia admits that before he started selling this one-of-a-kind pizza, he had to first understand the wind direction and learn techniques so that pizza does not get burnt in such high temperatures of the volcano. So, making this special pizza was surely not an easy task for Garcia.
