Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s daughter is all set to tie the knot with Anand Piramal, the son of Ajay and Swati Piramal.
As a wedding gift, the Piramals have gifted their son and their new daughter-in-law a sea-facing bungalow in Worli, Mumbai.
Known as the ‘Gulita’ building, the Piramals bought the property for Rs. 450 crores. The building, which used to house the training centre of Hindustan Unilever, has been converted into a sprawling residential complex for Isha and Anand.
Most of the materials used to renovate the iconic ‘Gulita’ building, have been imported from abroad. Staying true to its ‘diamond theme’, the house has a swimming pool, a special diamond room, a temple room, a 3-floor basement and one huge, high-ceilinged hall.
Spread over 50,000 square feet, the five floor bungalow has three basements. The level 2 and level 3 basements will be used for services and for parking. The level 1 basement has a lawn, an open-air water body and a double height multi-purpose room.
The ground floor of the bungalow houses the entrance lobby. The upper storeys of the bungalow boast of floor plates ranging from 8,700 square feet to 12,300 square feet. Each of the storeys have living halls, dining halls, bedrooms and studies. The bungalow also has multiple lounges, dressing areas and servant’s quarters across different levels.
Having lived in style and luxury all her life, Isha Ambani-Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s only daughter, couldn’t have asked for a better wedding gift from her in-laws!
