Rujuta’s diet plans are also the secret to Kareena Kapoor’s zero figure and her post-delivery figure. The dietitian has a huge fan following among the masses. So today, we bring to you Rujuta’s tips for healthy snacking in the evenings.

According to Rujuta, one should eat more of traditional foods such as poha, upma, idli etc, that are lighter and healthier. The kind of evening snack you should have also depends upon the time you’re going to have dinner. So here are some evening snack suggestions, given by Rujuta,  according to different dinner times.

Dinner Before 8 pm

For people who have dinner before 8 pm, a perfect snack would be a bowl of roasted chickpeas, roasted peanuts or fox nuts. Not only do these foods keep you full for long, but they are also very light on the stomach. Apart from these, you could also eat seasonal fruits such as bananas.  Peanut brittle is also a good snack to have during the evening.  These snacks are best suited for  those people who wake up early,  go to bed early and follow a regular exercise routine. These food items are also a good snacking option for women who suffer from PCOS and/or diabetes.

Dinner after 9pm

If you are a working professional and have dinner after 9pm, then you should consume a small chapati with a teaspoon of ghee and a little jaggery. Eating the chapati helps to maintain the haemoglobin levels of the blood. You can also consume a small bowl of curd rice or an idli. Both of these snacks will energize you.  But remember that you should have your dinner 90 minutes after having these snacks. This will help you get a sound sleep and will prevent constipation.

Snacks for People who have an Irregular Schedule

If you don’t have a fixed dinner schedule or you have to attend a party in the evening, you should snack on poha, upma, besan ladoos, toast with half fried egg or a protein shake so that you feel energized and your tummy remains full for long. This will prevent you from getting mood swings, which are a common occurrence when one is extremely hungry.

Now that you have so many healthy evening snack options, given by an expert like Rujuta, we advise you to plan your evening snack menu in advance and keep yourself healthy. If Rujuta’s easy tips can tone Kareena’s figure then you too can benefit from them and become slim. Isn’t it?
