The prevalence of a casting couch in the industry has come up several times in Bollywood. Some have taken to Twitter to raise their voice on the issue and some have even come out on the streets to protest against it. In earlier times, Bollywood stars never spoke about the prevalence of such practices in the industry, but of late, some Bollywood stars have openly spoken about their casting couch experience. And imagine our surprise, when we realised that apart from actresses, even some actors have faced the casting couch. Here is a list of Bollywood celebrities who have dealt with the casting couch, in order to enter the film industry:

A very well-known casting director called Ranveer to his Andheri house. When Ranveer came, director did not even look at the actor’s portfolio. He told Ranveer that to survive in the film industry you need to be smart, sexy and you have to make a little compromise. When Ranveer said no to him, the director actually acted like a heart broken lover!
After Ranveer Singh, actor Ayushman Khurana also spoke about his casting couch experience in 2016. He said that while he was anchoring a TV show, the casting director of the same show asked him to make a compromise. But the actor jokingly replied to the director’s advances by saying that he would have thought about him if he was interested in men.
The popular actress who gained recognition through movies such as ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and ‘Veere Di wedding’, also shared her casting couch experience. In one of her auditions, she was asked about what all she can do. Swara started to talk about her skills and her strengths but actually, the person who was auditioning her wanted to hear something else from her. She denied the offer and passed it on.
Kangana’s journey in Bollywood has not been an easy one. Her relationship with Aditya Pancholi garnered a lot of media attention. Kangana spoke about how Aditya used to abuse her when she was only 17 years old. After breaking off the relationship, Kangana talked about another instance which happened during her ‘Tanu weds Manu’ audition. After she had given her audition, a crew member asked her to compromise.
The ‘Margarita with a Straw’ actress says she has actually been an eyewitness to a casting couch incident. In an interview in 2015, Kalki said that the casting couch is very much prevalent in Bollywood. She said people tried it on her too, but she used to leave as soon as she started feeling uncomfortable.
Tisca Chopra also talked about how she would have been another victim of the casting couch. She said a famous director tried to misbehave with her when she was not famous, but fortunately, she was able to save herself.
Inspite of her bold and strong personality, actress Chitrangada Singh has also aced the casting couch. She mentioned that on the sets of ‘Babumoshai Bandukbaaz’, the director of the movie, Kushal Nandi misbehaved with her and even abused her. He asked her to extend her kissing scene with Nawazuddin Siddiqui by 7 seconds. It was after this demand that the actress took a stand and left the movie.
