The current darling of Bollywood, 25 years-old Alia Bhatt suffers from ‘nyctophobia’ or a fear of darkness. Alia is so scared of darkness that whenever she sleeps, she makes it a point to always switch on a dim light and keep her room curtains slightly open.
Anushka Sharma has a fear of driving or ‘amaxophobia’. While shooting a scene for the film ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola,’ Anushka had to sit behind actor Imran Khan while he drove a bike. While shooting this scene, Anushka was petrified with fear! To make his co-star feel safe, Imran drove the bike at a very slow pace while shooting the scene.
In her last movie ‘Padmaavat’, Deepika played a Rajput Princess who loved to hunt in the forests. But did you notice that when Deepika was shown hunting in the forest, no snakes were shown in the forest? This is because Deepika is very scared of snakes! She is so scared of tomatoes, that shooting for the Tomatina Festival song in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ was a huge task for her. In fact, it is even alleged that Katrina rejected an endorsement deal for a major tomato ketchup brand because of this phobia of hers.
The Kapoor scion and the current heartthrob of the Indian film industry, Ranbir Kapoor, suffers from ‘katsaridaphobia’ or a fear of cockroaches. Ranbir simply refuses to enter any place if he sees a cockroach crawling around. The actor cannot stand the sight of these creatures!
The Badshah of Bollywood suffers from ‘equinophobia’-a fear of horses. While filming a scene for his film ‘Karan Arjun’, King Khan had a terrible experience while riding a horse. After this incident, Shahrukh Khan never rode a horse, both on-screen and off-screen.
Fashionista Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, suffers from ‘claustrophobia’ or a fear of enclosed spaces. The actress herself admitted to her fear of elevators in an interview. Sonam said that she always feels dizzy in elevators and that’s why she always prefers to take the stairs wherever she goes.
