5 Homemade Anti-Aging Face Masks

Listed below are a few natural anti-aging face masks that can easily be made at home using accessible and affordable ingredients. 1) Flaxseeds Face Mask

Blend a handful of flaxseeds into a powder and take 2 tablespoons of this powder. Mix it with 1 tablespoon each of yogurt and honey and apply it as a mask. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off once you feel it has been absorbed by the skin. Flaxseeds have omega 3, fatty acids and lignin that help in rejuvenating skin.  Honey prevents skin inflammation and yogurt contains lactic acid that helps prevent the appearance of fine lines.

 

2) Buttermilk to fight wrinkles

In order to tighten your skin, boil four tablespoons of oatmeal and allow the temperature to settle. Mix a cup of buttermilk with the boiled oatmeal. With that mixture, add one tablespoon each of olive oil and almond oil and make it into a paste. Apply this paste all over your face leaving your lips and eyes. Wait for twenty minutes before you wash off with cool water. Pat your skin dry. This will help you get rid of wrinkles.

 

3) Castor oil to avoid fine lines

 

If your skin is becoming very dry, then castor oil comes to your rescue. Applying castor oil will moisturize your skin and eliminate the dryness thereby leaving your skin completely soft. You have to apply few drops of castor oil and massage gently over your face and neck. Allow it to settle in your skin for an hour or leave it overnight before you rinse off. Repeat this every alternate day to get rid of wrinkles.

 

4) Egg to tighten your skin

Eggs have great anti-aging ingredients that help in tightening and firming your skin. It contains omega 3 fatty acids, zinc and proteins that work on your skin to regain a healthy texture. Use one egg white along with a half teaspoon of milk cream and one teaspoon of lime juice. Apply this mixture on your face and leave it for 15 minutes before you wash off. Repeat this once in three days for best results.

 

5) Almond, sandalwood, and rosewood to eliminate crow’s feet

Mix 1 teaspoon of almond oil with two three teaspoon of rosewood and four drops of sandalwood. Gently massage the mixture on your skin in a circular motion in the upwards direction. Leave it for an hour or overnight before you rinse off. A mixture of these oils will help you stay away from wrinkles, fine lines, crow’s feet and makes your skin look glowing and supple. 

Apart from the above masks, you can also use a banana to revitalize your skin. Bananas work wonders for your skin. Just mash a banana and take a tablespoon of the paste. Add a tablespoon of honey and oat flour and mix it into a paste. Apply this paste to your face and leave for 30 minutes before you wash off with lukewarm water. Banana is rich in vitamin A and E and helps in fighting fine lines with its anti-aging properties. It also helps in rejuvenating your skin.
