Cooking regular vegetables in a tasty way

Every one of us knows that we need to eat a bunch of vegetables since they are good for health, come with nutrients and minerals, and are useful for our bodies. However, we need to feed our pangs of hunger, taste buds and minds.

In case we don’t like the taste of vegetables, we don’t prefer eating them and even if we eat, we don’t eat with happiness.

To have a healthy body, it is necessary to eat healthy as it helps in maintaining weight. If you don’t eat good, you get overweight or obese which can lead to various health conditions like heart problems, diabetes, stroke, etc.

A healthy diet for non-vegetarians can be Fish, chicken, pork, etc but for vegetarians, it is just green vegetables like Bitter Gourd, Gourd, Pumpkin, etc. But eating this every day gets irritating and can lead to demotivation of being healthy.

There are certain ways to cook regular vegetables in a tasty way and some of them are:

Add Seasoning:

Seasoning is a basic thing to get a wonderful taste in your dish. So in case if you are preparing Bitter gourd, Pumpkin or gourd as they are not such good in taste, seasoning can be added to give a delicious taste to the dish. No matter what you are cooking, the flavor is important and that can be added by using chili flakes, ginger, garlic, etc to get an Asian flavor. You can also add dried spices and herbs like paprika, cumin, and coriander.

Use perfect seasoning for vegetables: There are certain vegetables that go perfectly with certain spices like pumpkin and squash with cinnamon, peas pair with lemon or mint, beets with cumin and leafy greens with nutmeg.

Balancing: To cook tastier, balancing is important like for bitter veggies, you can add sugar. To get some acid you can also add lemon juice or Vinegar.

Use Red wine and Apple cider:

To add a juicy and rich flavor to the vegetables, red wine or apple cider can also be used.

Salt lovers:

So people who are salty flavor lovers, to make the food tasty, you can also add aminos, soy sauce or tamari.


Stuffing is different and tasty and looks amazing. Like in capsicum you can stuff bell peppers, tomatoes, squash, spinach or anything.

Eat with Sauces:

It is difficult to eat green vegetables like pumpkin,gourd or bitter gourd like they are cooked normally, but if we have it with an amazing dip, it can definitely add flavor and will complement the dish. Or else you can saute them in the sauce like whichever flavor you like sweet, sour, garlic, etc and can eat like a pasta too.

Variety in Methods:

Going through the same process of cooking those same vegetables gets monotonous, so you can go for a variety of methods like steaming, roasting, frying, stewing, grilling etc. So every different method with some amazing seasoning and dips will definitely add taste in your regular vegetables.

Cooking regular vegetables is not bad if done with some modifications like by adding seasoning or by changing the method of cooking or by having it with sauces and dips.
