Get Rid of Blemishes with these Home Remedies!

All women long to have clear and glowing skin but when the skin is exposed to dust, sun rays, pollution and other environmental elements, it often gets dark spots and blemishes which make your face look dull. The biggest reason behind this is the effect of the rays of the sun. Regular exposure to the rays of the sun increases the melanin component of the skin and this alters the color of the skin at various places, resulting in dark spots which can also lead to an uneven skin tone. Inadequate nutrition and eating too many medicines may also lead to dark spots and blemishes on the face.

Today, we are going to tell you a few effective home cures to get rid of blemishes: 

 

1) Lemon Juice and Honey

Mix ½ tsp lemon juice with a tsp of honey and apply it on the affected area. Wash after half an hour. Lemon juice helps to lighten the dark spots as it is a natural bleaching agent whereas honey moisturizes the skin and nourishes it. Regular use of this mixture on the face can help reduce blemishes.

 

2) Milk and Almond Mask

Soak some almonds overnight and grind them into a paste in the morning. Now mix them with 2 tsp of raw milk and apply it on your face. Regular application of this mask will help make your face clearer.

 

3) Potatoes

Rubbing a small piece of raw potato on your face everyday can do wonders for your skin! It can help you get rid of spots and blemishes from the face. You can also mix the juice of a raw potato with fuller’s earth (multani mitti) and make a mask with it. Applying this mask on the face can also help to get rid of blemishes and it will also work as an anti-tanning pack, since potatoes contain natural bleaching properties.

 

4) Neem Face Pack

Grind a handful of neem leaves with a few drops of water and apply this face pack on the affected areas. Allow it to stay for half an hour and then wash it off. The antibacterial properties of neem help to clear the face.

 

5) Tomato Juice

Not only is tomato juice a natural bleaching agent, but it also works as a toner for the skin. Apply the fresh juice of a tomato on your face and allow it to stay for 15 minutes. Regular application can help to get rid of dark spots and blemishes.

 

6) Masoor Dal and Chironji Pack

Soak some masoor dal in water and soak the chironji in raw milk for a few hours. Now blend all these ingredients together, add a few drops of lemon juice and a tsp of honey to it. Apply this pack on your face thrice a week for a cleaner and a clearer  face.

 

7) Orange Peels

Take some orange peels and dry them under the sun. Now grind them to get a fine powder and add a tsp of honey and curd each. Mix it well. Now apply this paste on your face and allow it to stay for 15-20 minutes. Lightly massage the affected areas in a circular motion and wash it off with lukewarm water.

 

8) Aloe Vera

Nowadays, aloe vera is very widely used in skincare products and the plant is often found in homes. The healing properties of aloe vera gel help to treat sun spots and blemishes. Extract the gel from a branch of the aloe vera plant. Mix it with a few drops of lemon juice and apply it on your face. Allow it to stay for 15 minutes and then wash it off.
