This summer beat your afternoon blues with the Spanish summer punch — sangria. This drink is perfect as the hot weather sets in and this sangria recipe with Indian / everyday easily available fruits is sure to have you thirsting for more.
Red Wine Sangria
1 litre Red Wine
1/4 cup Brandy
1/4 cup Sugar Syrup
1 cup Oranges, Lemon and Apple Cut into small pieces
2 cups Soda
1.Put your favourite fruits like oranges and lemons at the bottom of a jug
2.Pour red wine on top.
3.Add brandy and simple syrup and mix well.
4.Refrigerate the Sangria for 2-3 hours.
5.Add soda water just before serving.
7.Garnish with your favourite fruit slices, according to your taste.
Tips to make Sangria at home using locally available fruits
1.You can use fruits of your choice but if you are using soft fruits, add them closer to serving time otherwise they will get mushy.
2.Instead of regulars like apples and lemons, you can also use cherries,or strawberries and always marinate the fruit the day before making sangria.
3.You can also add cinnamon sticks, castor sugar, fresh mint, but that depends on how you like your sangria to be.
