Kareena Kapoor Khan is an integral part of UNICEF’s campaign named ‘Every child Alive’. The purpose of this campaign is to spread awareness about the health of newborn babies in South Asia. Kareena believes breast milk is the best food for a newborn baby. Feed them what’s essential for them – newborn babies should be breastfed just after taking birth. They shouldn’t be given anything else except breast milk for at least 6 months after being born.
Kareena Kapoor Khan believes that a happy mother has a happy child. A baby is the perfect image of his/her mother. Parenting is a very challenging task and a lot of times you find yourself wondering about whether you are actually doing the right thing or not. You will also get thousands of suggestions from different parents but you need to understand and see what is right for you and your baby. You will make mistakes along the way but make it a point to rectify them yourself.
Kareena believes that superstitions are a very deep ditch from which no one has ever returned. So beware of superstitions, and always consult an experienced doctor for the regular check-ups of your baby. Consulting a doctor will keep both the mother and the baby safe and healthy. During the campaign, she also mentioned that parents should take as much care of a female child, as they do of a male child.
Kareena says, “It is a common proverb that there are many things which only a mother can do but I believe that a father can also take care of a lot of such things.” She also mentioned that just like a Kangaroo keeps his child in his stomach, Saif too loves Taimur in the same way and that she salutes all those men who help their wife look after their baby.
Kareena says that it is only after becoming a mother, that she learned how huge a responsibility it is-like when to say yes and no to the child. There were many nights when I couldn’t sleep at night. Many times I used to get irritated when Taimur used to cry untimely, but it was an experience and everything related to Timur is beautiful for me. Your patience and self-confidence will be of immense help to you.
