Imagine licking the TV screen to get a taste of certain food items. Sounds weird, right?
A Japanese Professor in Tokyo has developed a new product by the name of “Taste the TV” abbreviated as TTTV.
Post the pandemic, the interaction and engagement among people has seen a steep downfall so the idea of a lickable TV was invented to create more communication and liveliness of sitting at home but feeling like eating at a restaurant.
This touchscreen TV cost around 100,000 yen ($875) to be built and it is like a prototype that the Japanese professor took almost a year to build.
Thinking how does the TV work on commands, right?
That’s another interesting part. One needs to place an order of what taste they wish to have and after a few tries, an automated voice repeats the order and delivers what the customer demands.
For the future, the professor plans to make a repository of tastes from around the world that can be enjoyed among different cultures.
