Bun dosa! Yeah, you have heard us right! Dosa is one of the most popular South-Indian dishes that is loved by all. From masala dosa to paneer dosa, there is an endless number of dosa varieties that you can make. But, bun dosa is one of the creative dosa recipes that is sure to tempt you. Sanjeev Kapoor shared a bun dosa recipe on Instagram. So, here is Sanjeev Kapoor’s bun dosa recipe that you can make any time you want.
1. Short grain rice soaked – 2 cups
2. Fresh Coconut – ¾ + 1 ¼ cup
3. Pressed rice – ¾ cup
4. Soaked Fenugreek seeds – 1 TSP
5. Water
6. Salt
7. Coriander leaves
8. Ginger – 1 inch
9. Green chilies – 2
10. Garlic cloves
11. Roasted Chana Dal – 1 tbsp
12. Lemon juice – ½ tsp
13. Oil
14. Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
15. Skinless black gram – 1 TSP
16. Dried red chili – 4
17. Curry leaves – 10
18. Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
1. First, take a mixer grinder and add soaked grain rice, fresh coconut, pressed rice, soaked fenugreek seeds, and water. Grind all of these ingredients properly.
2. After obtaining a fine paste, keep this batter aside and let it ferment for 8 hours. Do not forget to add salt.
3. Then take a bowl, and add fresh coconut, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, green chili, roasted chana dal, lemon juice, salt, and water. Transfer this to a blender and blend them into a fine paste. Your chutney is ready.
4. Next, take a frying pan and heat some oil in it.
5. Add mustard seeds, skinless black gram, dried red chilli, curry leaves, asafoetida, and roast them.
6. Transfer this to chutney for a flavourful taste.
7. Then, take a pan and add the fermented dosa to it for making bun dosa. Add some oil and cook it properly from both sides.
8. Finally, enjoy the delicious bun dosa with chutney.
