ABOUT Chetinad Fish Fry RECIPE

Shallow fried fish with southern flavour

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. King fish - 5 pieces
  2. Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  3. Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tsp
  4. Dried Kashmir red chilli - 1 tsp
  5. Tamarind - 1/2 tsp
  6. Curry leaves - 10
  7. Turmeric powder
  8. Rawa [semolina] - as required.
  9. Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash and pad dry fish
  2. Marinate with lemon juice and turmeric powder
  3. In grinder, add dry chilli, ginger and garlic paste, dry spices tamarind pulp, Curry leaves and salt
  4. Apply this paste to fish and keep aside
  5. Take rawa in plate
  6. Coat fish with rawa
  7. Grill on hot grill pan
  8. Serve with salad
