Kashmiri dum aloo

Ingredients to make Kashmiri dum aloo

  • Baby potato - 8
  • onion -2 large
  • All whole spices (dalchini, cardamom, badi ilaichi, star anis, tez patta )
  • saunf powder 1/2tbs
  • Sunf
  • Zeera
  • curd 2tbs
  • Gaam masala
  • salt
  • turmeric Powder
  • coriander Powder
  • ginger powder
  • ghee
  • oil
  • coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Kashmiri dum aloo

  1. Par boil baby potatoes.
  2. Deep fry potatoes untill it become golden brown, take out on kitchen towel it is now very light.
  3. Then remove extra oil. Add shahi zeera, khada masala, saunf and hing.
  4. Add onion and saute it untill it is light brown. Add coriander powder, haldi, kashmiri mirch, garam masala and curd.
  5. Fry until masala is done and leave the oil. Add saunf powder ilaichi powder and ginger powder
  6. Then add your potato and give a stir
  7. Add 2 Cups of water and bring it t boil for 10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with coriander powder
